Best bets - Week 12 NFL   ***UPDATE**

**BEST BET WINNER**
*TOTAL - OVER 44
Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants

FINAL SCORE: Dallas Cowboys 24, New York Giants 21

Preview & Prediction

Seven of these teams last nine in the series have blasted past the posted number, including their lone game this season back on September 8th, when Dallas would hold on for the 36-31 victory. The Cowboys have actually seen the total go "over" the number in three of their five on the road this season, while the Giants have seen it fly above the number in three of five in the Big Apple. This is obviously a huge game for both teams: New York has won four straight and will look to take advantage of the NFL's worst defence this week. The Cowboys will have to keep pace and come into this contest off their bye-week. Philadelphia leads the NFC East, but these two clubs without question are still in the mix to win the division. Expect Eli Manning and Tony Romo to open up the playbook and take a serious look at the "over" in this one.

Key Trends:

  • Over is 7-2 in the last 9 meetings.
  • Over is 7-3-1 in the last 11 meetings in New York.

  • Over is 5-2 in Giants last 7 home games.
  • Over is 5-2 in Giants last 7 games on field turf.
  • Over is 5-2 in Giants last 7 games in Week 12.
  • Over is 6-2 in Cowboys last 8 games following a ATS loss.
  • Over is 8-3 in Cowboys last 11 games after accumulating less than 150 yards passing in their previous game.

Predicted Score: Dallas Cowboys 27, New York Giants 28

**BEST BET LOSER**
Carolina Panthers -4.5 @ Miami Dolphins

FINAL SCORE: Carolina 20, Miami 16.

Preview & Prediction.

Carolina is the hottest thing around at the moment, with six straight wins and covers, following Monday night's exciting victory over New England. Cam Newton may get a good portion of the ink, but it's really been the Panthers' defense that's led the way. The 20 points it allowed to the
Patriots Monday was the most it had given up since Week 4. On the road, Carolina has been just as tough on Vegas, going 9-3 ATS over two seasons.
The Panthers defensive line should beat up on the Miami offensive front. Look for Tannehill to get hit early in the Carolina win, causing turnovers. Also, the Dolphins defense doesn't have the athletes to keep up with Cam Newton.
The Panthers are out-rushing foes by almost 40 yards per game this season, while Miami is getting out-rushed by about 35 YPG. In the NFL, teams that out-rush their opponents cover the spread about 65 percent of the time. Go with Carolina.

Key Trends:

  • Dolphins are 13-6 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Panthers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
Panthers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in November.
Panthers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Panthers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games on grass.
Panthers are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games.

Predicted Score: Carolina Panthers 28, Miami Dolphins 16.
