  • Underdog is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.
  • Ragin' Cajuns are 0-4 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.

Best bets - NFL & College Football Week (THURSDAY NIGHT GAMES)

FINAL SCORE: Pittsburgh Steelers 20, Baltimore Ravens 22.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens -2.5

The defending Super Bowl champs gave a good effort Sunday, holding the Jets to 220 yards of offense in a 19-3 victory. So Baltimore has won two of its last three to stay relevant in the AFC playoff picture. The Ravens offense continues to struggle, but the defense ranks 10th overall and has allowed more than 24 points just once this season.
They have won 29 of 31 home games when favored and are 6-1 ATS recently at home, according to Odds Shark. The Ravens are 4-1 at home and 1-5 on the road. I am backing Flacco to get the job done late and a fired up Raven's d to do enough to limit Steelers offensive flow.
Key Trends:

  • Ravens are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games.
  • Ravens are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. win.
  • Ravens are 19-8-2 ATS in their last 29 games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.
  • Ravens are 5-11 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
  • Steelers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
  •  Steelers are 8-17-1 ATS in their last 26 games following a S.U. win.
  • Steelers are 4-9 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.

Predicted Score: Pittsburgh Steelers 20, Baltimore Ravens 23.

Match Rating - **1/4
Mr Blu Analysis:

These two seemed a little out of sync to start off with, resulting in some awkward encounters early in the bout. In spite of that these two recovered and delivered an entertaining match. Speed and near-falls powered the bout. There was some back story heading into this, factor in the slap from Kingston and Miz sure to become more villainous as his heel transformation continues, this has the look of a rivalry ready to pick up in intensity.

Mr Blu Analysis:

This match was proof of how dramatic the elimination format can be. The opener had the power of a comeback and a variety of stars shining. The babyfaces were rolling, but Reigns came charging back. He was made the biggest star of the bout, taking out four men on his own. The faces eliminated Ambrose, Cesaro and Swagger, making me feel good about my Reigns theory. It did filter down to Reigns vs. Rey and Goldust at the end Reigns would prevail as the sole survivor. It should be noted that he also got great crowd reactions for using the spear to eliminate each guy, especially the finish. Overall this was a very good was to kick off the PPV. Lots of good action, very little down time, and the showcase of Roman Reigns went off very well. Also, I have no issue with the Ambrose elimination being first and so soon. They have teased Ambrose being cocky about still being a champion, and Reigns showing disapproval, that elimination was important to the Reigns story being told. Looking forward to hearing Ambrose's thoughts on his mate's efforts.
If they wanted a star-making performance, they got it for Mr. Reigns...

Big E is up in the corner as Axel complains. Axel attacks then sends Big E to the center and flies off...into nothing. Big E sends Axel into the ropes, then sets up the Big Ending! He hits it! Pin for 1...2...3!!

Match Rating - **
Mr Blu Analysis:

Axel was hated on by the crowd during this match. And not in a good way, "you can't wrestle" chants type of way, which is silly because he actually can wrestle. Axel and Langston brought more aggressiveness for their rematch. Axel seemed desperate at moments, seeing his championship hopes crushed in Langston's powerful hands. Big E's explosiveness offense certainly gets the crowd going. Not bad, but I enjoyed the RAW encounter more. Although Big E. Langston's first title win was always going to good so no surprises.

Mr Blu Analysis:

The match had no story, no drama until it was down to the last few Divas. There was seemingly one move before each elimination, the pace moving along too quickly to showcase any of the Divas. It JoJo's brief David and Goliath moment was pretty much the only highlight. Tamina has been a welcomed addition to the Diva's division from my point of view. Surely its Natalya battling AJ & Tamina in the coming weeks.

While Josh Mathews is announcing the Hall of Fame panel, Ryback's music hits. He says his favorite moment of Survivor Series was the day he came down and shut up all of them ol folks on the panel. He calls Bret, Booker, and Foley (Law firm?) cowards and says he intimidates everyone and anyone, including anyone in the WWE locker room. This doesn't make him a bully, though. He is Ryback. That's his name. What he'll do right now is issue an open challenge to anyone that wants to come out and make a name for themselves. Who will be making Ryback's night?

The answer to Ryback's call is the man known as Mark Henry. Henry is ready for his next inductee into the hall of pain. The bell rings, and it's official!

Match 4: Mark Henry vs Ryback

Match Rating - *1/4

Mr Blu Analysis:

Its Rick Ross?!.....no its Mark Henry and Im glad he is back. The new look suits him, probably more in a heel role. The match was tedious, just like their WrestleMania 29 match. It wasn't the battle of two titans that WWE probably expected. It dragged despite being short. Henry is scheduled for matches with Randy Orton on some upcoming house shows, make of that what you will.

Match 5: World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio

Match Result:  John Cena defeats Alberto Del Rio with the AA.

Del Rio drops some punches to Cena's head then stomps Cena's head. Del Rio goes up top. He flies off with an axe handle and a pin for 1...2..NO! Arm lock. Cena rises and hits a right hand. ANother. One more! Cena is fighting back! Del Rio is in the corner. Cena with a whip to the opposite side! Del Rio moves and Cena hits the turnbuckle shoulder first! Del Rio notices and is quick to attack! Boots to the face, and I'm liking the focus on Cena's head. It's different than what I thought would be going down considering Del Rio's finisher. Del Rio attacks with a right hand. Another. Mr Blu Analysis:

I don't think the finish was ever in question, but the match was pretty damned good. This was a rematch from last month, which saw Cena return and win the title. With Cena going without his sleeve brace tonight, and the build to the match, the easy story is for Del Rio to focus on the arm. They didn't. They instead told the story that Del Rio knows Cena much better, and was able to counter a lot of Cena's trademark moves to kill the momentum Cena was trying to build.  Del Rio was smugness personified and excellent in his viciousness. Their Survivor Series match had less of the energy and buzz of their last outing, but was still hard-hitting and dramatic enough to earn three stars.

Mr Blu Analysis:

About as fun as you would expect and then some. Harper and Rowan played convincing beasts, providing the ultimate obstacles for Bryan and Punk. The contrast of the two teams' styles made for compelling action, and WWE is certain to take note of that. Expect more of these battles with how dramatic and physical this first round was. Harper banged up his knee when Bryan his a suicide dive, but he was able to continue. Punk and Bryan scored the victory following a GTS to Harper. The crowd was great for the match, even through the slower parts, which is always a good thing. While I feel it was a case of caring more about Bryan/Punk than the Wyatts, they were hot for almost everything they did, giving a good energy to the match that most tonight haven't had. Looking forward to Bray Wyatt stepping into the ring up against CM Punk & Daniel Bryan.

After the match, Bray Wyatt wakes up from his slumber and is mighty upset. Wyatt removes his shirt and hops up on the apron. The crowd wants him in the ring. Bryan joins in on the Yes chants. Wyatt thinks better of it all and hops down with a grin.

Match 7: WWE Heavyweight Championship Match

As soon as the bell rings, Orton messes with Show. He heads to the outside for a bit. Once back in, Big Show attacks quickly sending Orton into the corner with punch. He sends Orton to the corner then calls for the chokeslam. Orton sees it and rolls out of the ring. Big Show follows. He grabs Orton and looks to send him into the steps. He does. The ref. Charles Robinson is down, grabbing his knee, as Orton sends Show into the steps. Orton notices that the ref is out of sorts, and grabs a chair from under the ring. He looks to hit Show, but Show hits a big boot and socks the chair then sends Orton into the barricade, then over it! He's fighting Orton in the crowd! Show sends Orton back over the barricade towards the ring. Orton stands and Show with the Knockout Punch!!!! Orton is knocked out on the outside!! Robinson is up!! Show sends Orton in the ring. Show is on all fours after the RKO. Orton runs out of the corner!! PUNT KICK to the head of Big Show!! Pin for 1....2.....3!!

Match Rating - *3/4
Mr Blu Analysis:

The ending was something right out of an episode of Raw. It certainly didn't feel like the best way to cap off a main event bout. Big Show struggled to move throughout the match, and a number of sloppy moments took away from the realism. All that buildup for this now seems like a waste. The boring chants were out in the early minutes of this match, which is never a good thing. The distraction at the end allowed Orton to hit an RKO, followed by the concussion kick for the victory. This was not good as the main event of the show. It felt very flat, and was overall one of the worst WWE "PPV main events" on a long time. Certainly this year.
After the match, The Authority claps for Orton. A small pause hits until....
The music of John Cena hits!! Cena comes out and stands in front of Triple H and Stephanie. Cena holds up his belt then heads in the ring. Cena stands tall with his belt. Orton isn't having it and holds his up as well. WE have a belt-off to close the show!!

END SHOW.

Final Thoughts

Match of the Night:
The Wyatt Family vs. Daniel Bryan and CM Punk (***3/4)
The only other match that really could be considered for MotN is the opening bout. Both matches produced exciting wrestling. Roman Reigns announced himself and it was cool to see a 'coming of age' moment.
Punk and Bryan are two of the biggest stars in the WWE today, and their victory over the Wyatt Family is a huge step in the process of getting back to the main event for each man.
The company will likely book the rematch to appease all of the Punk and Bryan fans by getting them on December's PPV card, but this tag team battle is a holdover and more likely to spawn a long-term one-on-one feud between Bray Wyatt and Punk. Bryan should be moving back to the WWE Championship scene at or around the Royal Rumble, so booking one more match against the Wyatt Family at Tables, Ladders & Chairs is a smart course of action.

Final Analysis:
Survivor Series had some excellent matches and created some memories, but unfortunately, the show ended with disappointment. If the showdown between Cena and Orton is a preview of the next marquee feud, WWE is showing just how out of touch it is. Revisiting that rivalry is one of the least appealing options available to the company. However after backstage reports of Henry challenging Orton for the title, and CM Punk/Bryan being pushed back into the main event scene I'm not entirely sure what to make of the end of the show. Cena vs Orton battle for the notion of 'Face' of the company with The Authority having to pick a side, but I wouldnt want it going past the Rumble. Cena coming into the picture is an avenue to seeing a potential Vince McMahon return. At the end of the day, this was a below average PPV. It peaked with the opening match, Cena and Del Rio was again fine and the Punk/Bryan vs. Wyatts match was also good. But other than that, the show largely felt flat. The IC Title match was there, the Divas match was there, Ryback and Henry was there, and all together didn't add much to the show.

Best bets - Week 12 NFL   ***UPDATE**

**BEST BET WINNER**
*TOTAL - OVER 44
Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants

FINAL SCORE: Dallas Cowboys 24, New York Giants 21

Preview & Prediction

Seven of these teams last nine in the series have blasted past the posted number, including their lone game this season back on September 8th, when Dallas would hold on for the 36-31 victory. The Cowboys have actually seen the total go "over" the number in three of their five on the road this season, while the Giants have seen it fly above the number in three of five in the Big Apple. This is obviously a huge game for both teams: New York has won four straight and will look to take advantage of the NFL's worst defence this week. The Cowboys will have to keep pace and come into this contest off their bye-week. Philadelphia leads the NFC East, but these two clubs without question are still in the mix to win the division. Expect Eli Manning and Tony Romo to open up the playbook and take a serious look at the "over" in this one.

Key Trends:

  • Over is 7-2 in the last 9 meetings.
  • Over is 7-3-1 in the last 11 meetings in New York.

  • Over is 5-2 in Giants last 7 home games.
  • Over is 5-2 in Giants last 7 games on field turf.
  • Over is 5-2 in Giants last 7 games in Week 12.
  • Over is 6-2 in Cowboys last 8 games following a ATS loss.
  • Over is 8-3 in Cowboys last 11 games after accumulating less than 150 yards passing in their previous game.

Predicted Score: Dallas Cowboys 27, New York Giants 28

**BEST BET LOSER**
Carolina Panthers -4.5 @ Miami Dolphins

FINAL SCORE: Carolina 20, Miami 16.

Preview & Prediction.

Carolina is the hottest thing around at the moment, with six straight wins and covers, following Monday night's exciting victory over New England. Cam Newton may get a good portion of the ink, but it's really been the Panthers' defense that's led the way. The 20 points it allowed to the
Patriots Monday was the most it had given up since Week 4. On the road, Carolina has been just as tough on Vegas, going 9-3 ATS over two seasons.
The Panthers defensive line should beat up on the Miami offensive front. Look for Tannehill to get hit early in the Carolina win, causing turnovers. Also, the Dolphins defense doesn't have the athletes to keep up with Cam Newton.
The Panthers are out-rushing foes by almost 40 yards per game this season, while Miami is getting out-rushed by about 35 YPG. In the NFL, teams that out-rush their opponents cover the spread about 65 percent of the time. Go with Carolina.

Key Trends:

  • Dolphins are 13-6 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Panthers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
Panthers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in November.
Panthers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Panthers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games on grass.
Panthers are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games.

Predicted Score: Carolina Panthers 28, Miami Dolphins 16.
