Kansas City -3* @ Washington Redskins

FINAL SCORE: Kansas City Chiefs 45, Washington Redskins 10.

Crowd Is Sparse to Start 3rd Quarter of Chiefs-Redskins Game at FedExField

The Washington Redskins trailed the Kansas City Chiefs 38-10 at halftime on Sunday. Based on the size of the crowd at the start of the third quarter, the fans had seen enough.

Preview and Prediction

The Chiefs may be struggling as of late, but this team has what it takes to turn it around against a collapsing Redskins squad.

One of the main reasons Kansas City will be able to build an early lead and maintain it is turnover differential. It leads the league in that department, having forced 26 takeaways compared to just 12 giveaways. Head coach Andy Reid preaches ball security and has his players practice it with immense discipline and success, which is not something that Mike Shanahan—the beleaguered head coach of Washington—and his side can say. The Redskins’ turnover differential is an unimpressive minus-two. They’ve recorded just 18 turnovers through 12 games but have coughed up the ball 20 times. Things have been especially bad for the 'Skins during the current four-game losing streak. They’ve averaged just 16.5 points per contest during that span and had a number of locker room issues spill out into the public forum.

Kansas City may have lost three in a row, but it still looks bound for the playoffs and doesn’t boast a splintered roster. This group just had to navigate a tough schedule—playing the elite Denver Broncos twice and on the receiving end of a great performance by the San Diego Chargers—and is due for a bounce back on Sunday.

Giving just three points is an absolute steal for the Chiefs and looks to be a bet that most bettors should jump to back. Take the chalk and get paid after K.C. runs away with a blowout victory.

Predicted Score: Kansas City 28, Washington 24.

Detroit Lions @ Philadelphia Eagles -2*

FINAL SCORE: Detroit Lions 20, Philadelphia Eagles 34.

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean "Shady" McCoy got going versus the Detroit Lions and never seemed to slow down.

In the third quarter, Shady dodged defenders and broke tackles as he sailed to a 40-yard touchdown, which evened the score at 14 after a successful Eagles two-point conversion attempt.

Later in the quarter, he was at it again, this time busting out for a 57-yard touchdown run.

He wasn't done there, though. Shady made defenders look absolutely silly as he juked like only he can before eventually slipping on a large patch of snow.

Preview and Prediction

The Eagles come in playing their best football of the season. They have posted four straight wins, including blowout road victories at Oakland (49-20) and at Green Bay (27-13). They also beat Washington (24-16) at home in a game that was a much bigger blowout than the final score would indicate. Then, they beat a very good Arizona (24-21) team at home last week behind a solid defensive effort.

The defense has been playing unbelievable over the past eight weeks, surrendering 21 or fewer points in eight consecutive games. The Eagles have given up an average of just 17.9 points per game over this span, which is one of the best marks in the entire league. Couple that with the play of Nick Foles and LeSean McCoy, and you have a deadly combination.

Foles still hasn't thrown an interception this season. He is completing 63.3 percent of his passes for 1,791 yards with 19 touchdowns, while also rushing for 149 yards and two scores. His ability to escape the pocket when he needs to is vastly underrated. McCoy ranks second in the league in rushing with 1,088 yards and five touchdowns while averaging 4.7 yards per rush. These two lead a Philadelphia unit that ranks 3rd in the league in total offense at 403.6 yards per game.

Matthew Stafford is much better indoors inside the dome at Ford Field than he is on the road.  He has thrown 70 touchdown passes and 42 interceptions in 36 games indoors in his career.  Stafford has only thrown 37 touchdown passes against 26 interceptions on the road lifetime.  Foles has played all of his games outdoors this season, which makes his 19-0 touchdown-to-interception ratio that much more impressive.

Detroit is 2-11 against the spread when playing against a team with a winning record in the second half of the season over the past three seasons. The Lions are 0-7 against the number in their last seven games off a win by 10 points or more. Detroit is 5-15-3 against the spread in its last 23 games after scoring 30 or more points in its previous game. The Eagles have gone 5-1 straight up and 4-2 against the spread in their last six meetings with the Lions.  Bet Philadelphia Sunday.

Predicted Score: Detroit Lions 31, Philadelphia Eagles 37.

*** BEST BET LOSER ***

Minnesota VikingsBaltimore Ravens -6*

FINAL SCORE: Minnesota Vikings 26, Baltimore Ravens 29.

Preview and Prediction

Baltimore has won three of their last four games and these three wins took place at home. They have played 12 games so far with 6 wins, 6 defeats and 6-6-0 ATS. At home, they had 5 wins in their 6 home games. Their defense is playing good with 10th place in the league (an average of 19.6) but their offense is 29th (an average of 20.8 per game).

Minnesota's form is not well, they have lost 6 of their last 8 games and they have not won at away yet this season with 5 defeats. Their defense is not playing good with 30th in the league (an average of 30.5 per game)

Baltimore has won 2 in the last 3 games between two teams with 3-0-0 ATS. I think there defence contains Peterson therefore forcing pressure on Cassel. Leading to, Flacco and his friends scoring enough to cover the spread.

Predicted Score: Minnesota Vikings 17, Baltimore Ravens 26.
