Army Black Knights @  Navy Midshipmen

THE BET:  ***UPDATED***

**BEST BET WINNER***

>    Navy Midshipmen -13

Final Score: Army Black Knights 7, Navy Midshipmen 34.

Preview & Score Prediction.

The Midshipmen will look to continue the dominance that they’ve displayed over their rivals for the past decade. Navy has won the contest for 11 straight years. In 2002, the Black Knights led the all-time head-to-head matchup. Now, Navy’s winning streak has given them a 57-49-7 advantage. Saturday will mark the last game of 2013 for Army. The club went 3-8, ending the season with four straight losses. Navy’s season, however, will continue after this weekend, in the Armed Forces Bowl against Middle Tennessee State. It’s their 10th bowl appearance in 11 years.
Navy comes into the game at a solid 7-4, and they could have been even better. They lost in double overtime to Toledo and lost by only four at Notre Dame after leading until less than four minutes were left. Their defense is the definition of underwhelming, so it is their offense that has got them this far and which will likely lead them to victory in this game. Perhaps more than any other team in the country, Navy is the definition of unbalanced. They just cannot pass the ball — their 98.9 yards per game through the air ranks just 124th in the country. That’s out of 125 teams. On the ground, though, they amassed 322 yards per game — the third best in the country. The driving force behind it all is sophomore quarterback Keenan Reynolds. He is the team’s leading rusher, and he has scored 26 times on the ground. Add in the eight passing touchdowns, and he has accounted for nearly 63 percent of the team’s total offense. Needless to say, if Army doesn’t have a good plan for containing Reynolds they are going to be in a whole lot of trouble. Navy have the superior roster and have been beating up on Army for more than a decade (11-0 straight up). In the past 10 games, the average score is 31-10. They are 5-1 against the spread in their past six games overall.
The game also pits Navy's No. 32-ranked offense, averaging 34.36 PPG, against a Black Knights defense that ranks No. 93 this week at 31.36 PPG. The Midshipmen aerial game is averaging 98.91 yards per game, less than the Black Knights secondary allows through the air, 214.55 YPG per game. Defensively, the Black Knights feature the league's No. 96-rated road run defense, allowing 213 yards per game. Navy, meanwhile, ranks No. 5 in rushing offense at home.
One sided game this year as Navy not only extend win streak to 12 straight years but make bettors happy by doing it in impressive fashion. Last time Army faced option offense it was in loss to Air Force 42-28 and this Navy option offense is even better.
Navy rolls.
Key Trends:
  • Navy is 5-1 ATS past six games overall.
